JazakAllah khayran, Sister.
You have given me an insight as to my own marital problems, as I was a single mom and I married someone I “thought” had changed his ways and was a practicing Muslim.
10 years later and three children more, Alhamdo lillah, I am trying to raise them in Islam. But, it is not easy as I face so much opposition and criticism, from my husband who does not pray, and my older son who also does not pray.
I like to listen to Qur’an, lectures and nasheeds in high volume for everyone else to hear, but they get offended. But they listen to loud tv.
I am asking my husband why does walk out, or go to another room. He says he knows his religion and does not need me to teach him. Yet he does not obey.
They hear and ignore, complaining of me always playing things for them to listen to. Not the best examples for my 9yrs/7yrs/and 2+yrs old.
I am encouraging the young ones to listen and learn about Allah and His Prophets peace be on them all. As these lectures are the Gardens of Paradise, and I feel so much peace listening to them.
JazakAllah khairan.
