Hadiths addressing how to impose conditions into islam such as saying a woman can not show her face or hands or wear make up is creating laws or rules when only allah has that authority.  Also doubtful issues are not issues that have been clearly explained by allah or the prophet or the companions but instead are issues that you dont know the answer to so you stay away until you learn the answer.  Also how good deeds are often not even appreciated until the person is gone.
