Prescribed Punishments in Islam (Slander) – Laila Nasheeba

Lecture speaks of slander that entails accusing another of some form of adultery without having the witnesses. The punishment for the slanderer is 80 lashes and he or she will be dubbed a liar whose testimony is never to be accepted. This severity is to deter people from making such allegations against others.
